OUR PROGRAMS

 

Here at St Thomas Aquinas After School Project we offer three seperate programs comprising of:
 
  • Breakfast Club
  • Afterschool Club
  • Playscheme/Holiday Club

Breakfast Club

 

This period of child care is given during term-time and is before school period starts. Breakfast club has been running for some time now and is proving to be very popular which means there are limited spaces. The club runs from 7.30 until 8.50am however to receive breakfast the children need to be in by 8.20am at the latest. After breakfast club finishes all children will leave for their respected classrooms allowing for an easy transition.

 

Opening times - Term-time - Mon-Fri - 7.30am-8.50am
Prices/fees - £5.50 per child per day.
 
Breakfast consists of -
Non-sugared cereals
Toast and Spreads
Fresh Fruits
Fromage Frais
Hot food ranging from full english breakfast through to scrambled egg on toast, or even a bacon butty or sausage sarnie.
After-school Club
 
As the name suggests this is the period of child care given during term-time, after school.  Due to its high popularity, there are a limited number of spaces available so STAASP operates on a first come first serve basis which is also renewable every academic year.
 
Opening times - Term-time - Mon-Fri - 3.00pm-6.00pm
Prices/fees - £8.50 per child per day.
 
There are two different categories of attendance:-
 
  • Permanent basis (every day)
  • Adhoc basis - as and when needed (numbers permitting)

Water/squash and a light healthy snack are provided. Menus for each week are displayed on notice boards.

Play scheme (School Holidays)
 
Again, as the name suggests, this is the care given to the children present over Non-Term time. Due to the STAASP having the children over a longer period of the day special events are sometimes held such as day trips/outings.
 
Opening times - School Holidays - Mon-Fri - 8.30am-6.00pm
Prices/fees - £12 for a short day (9.00am-3.00pm)
                      £15 for a full day (8.30am-6.00pm)
 
Although a light tea is provided during the full day, all children are requested to bring their own "pack lunch".
